Should You Start a Blog?
We are spending a lot more time at home right now. And the financial future of our country is very unknown! Have you thought of starting a side hustle? Starting a blog can be a low cost way of bringing in some extra money.
You can work at your own pace
When you start a blog, you can put an hour at a time into it. Or you can turn your blogging into a full time job. The time commitment I make to my blog changes as my schedule changes. I am a teacher who works summers. This week I am not scheduled to work so I anticipate putting a lot more time catching up on some projects I want to complete for my blog.
But last week I did have to work Monday through Friday. So last week, I did not put the same amount of time into my blog.
I do recommend you make a schedule for your blog. Prioritize what tasks you need to accomplish.
You Have Something You Can Help Others With
Do you have knowledge that could benefit others?
Do you have something you can teach to others?
Starting a blog and sharing your knowledge is a great way of helping people out. Even if you think that you are not an expert in your field, there is probably something that you have figured out that others may need help with.
You Want a Side Hustle
When you first start a blog, you probably aren’t going to be making a steady income from it right away. If you are in a financial situation where you need money quickly, you should get a part time job with a guaranteed income.
But, if you’re looking for side money that you are willing to put in the work and wait for the results, blogging could be for you. Knowing that you created something from the bottom up feels great. Knowing that you started with nothing and created something all by yourself is one of the must fulfilling things.
Need Help?
When I decided to start a blog I did a lot of research. I ended up signing up for Create and Go’s Launch Your Blog Biz course and it made all the difference.
