derI didn’t read as much this month as I have in the past. Having a baby has hurt my reading time more than I expected. (All parents out there are probably laughing at my naivety)

Onyx Storm

I gave this book five stars! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This book is the third book in the series, I really liked the first book in the series but the second book I didn’t love. But Onxy Storm really made up for the lackluster response I had to book two. I am going to give a short summary and be carefeul not to give away any spoilers from books 1 or 2 so forgive me if you feel my summary is lacking.

Violet is still at Basgiath War College and her and her crew need to travel beyond the walls to find out more about the seventh dragon breed.

If you liked Fourth Wing but didn’t like Iron Flame, give this one a shot. You may enjoy it!

Here One Moment

I gave this book four stars. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

On a short, domestic flight, a woman stands up and begins to go down the aisle announcing the manner and age of death of each passenger. Many of the passengers blow this off, until the predictions start to come true.

I really liked this novel, but full-disclosure I think I’ve liked all of Liane Moriarty’s novels. The women in my book club were divided. Some found the premise to be a bit too morbid for their liking. And I get that, but these are the same women who loved The Measure so I found that to be a bit odd.

I gave this book three stars. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I was disappointed by this book. A lot of people said wonderful things about it. I did enjoy it, I am glad I read it, but I wasn’t as excited about it as others. Maybe it’s because I hate “road trip” type stories. It seems really belittleing to call this a road trip book but in someways it is.

Jim is a slave who finds out he is about to be sold. He decides that he needs to get free and Huckleberry Finn comes with him. This book is a spin off of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and it follows Huck and Jim’s adventure up the river.
